The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is recruiting a County Caseworker 2 in Delaware County to help protect children and strengthen families. This hands-on role conducts assessments, coordinates services, places children in foster homes when needed, and advocates for essential services with community partners.

Training leading to certification is provided and telework is possible after six months. Full-time schedule is 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Qualifications

• Six months of County Caseworker 1 experience or internship.
• Bachelor's degree with social welfare or related credits and one year of casework experience.
• Equivalent combination including 12 credits in sociology/social welfare/psychology.

Responsabilités

• Conduct safety and needs assessments during investigations.
• Coordinate services and monitor progress for cases.
• Provide guidance on daily living, child care, employment and stability.
• Place children in foster homes and maintain communication.
• Make referrals and work with partners to improve outcomes.
• Attend training leading to caseworker certification.
