Qualifications

• Six months of county caseworker experience or an approved internship.
• Bachelor’s degree in social welfare or related field.
• Degree with 12 credits in sociology/social welfare/psychology and one year of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 credits in related social sciences.
• Educational requirements may be met within two months of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Interviews clients to identify barriers affecting child well-being.
• Guide families toward healthier plans and behaviors.
• Manage caseload and keep records current.
• Provide protective and supportive services for children.
• Prepare case materials and present at hearings.
• Travel frequently to support families in varied environments.
