Job summary

Aspiranet in Hanford, California is seeking a compassionate Support Counselor to join our Behavioral Health team. The SCII will work one-on-one with youth and caregivers in home or community settings, implementing plan components and providing feedback to the project team.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in a related field or 2 full-time equivalent years experience in a behavioral health field.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• DOJ fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance.
• TB/Health physical.
• Valid CA Driver’s License and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Meet with youth and caregiver per program and plan requirements.
• Implement interventions as outlined in the plan.
• Transfer skills to caregiver and others caring for the youth.
• Monitor success of interventions and report to team lead.
• Provide transportation for service plan activities and appointments.
• Conduct therapeutic sessions with youth and caregiver.
• Attend team meetings and maintain a consistent schedule.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality per HIPAA and agency standards.
