Job summary

Aspiranet seeks a passionate Support Counselor II in Merced, CA to support youth and families within the Behavioral Health Division. The role emphasizes implementing approved plans, one-on-one work, and modeling positive behaviors for caregivers and family members.

You will document progress, coordinate with the team, and ensure confidentiality and ethical practice while supporting youth in age-appropriate activities and community resources.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a Psychology related field or equivalent plus 2 years experience.
• AA degree with 2 years experience acceptable.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends; meets all state employment conditions including DOJ fingerprint, TB/Health physical, CA driver's license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Meet with youth and caregiver per program requirements.
• Implement plan interventions and transfer skills to caregiver.
• Develop youth-specific activities related to the case plan.
• Conduct rehabilitation sessions with youth and caregiver.
• Document timely contact notes to program and funder standards.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality per HIPAA.
