Job summary

BigIron is hiring a full-time Equipment Sales Representative to support customers in the agriculture industry by selling BigIron’s online auction services. This role covers an assigned local territory and involves field-based sales, daily travel, and a home-based office when not meeting customers.

Base salary ranges from $50,000–$75,000 with commission opportunities, and total compensation commonly reaches $100,000–$150,000+ with performance rewards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales, territory management, or business development experience.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a schedule within an assigned territory.
• Comfortable working in a performance-driven sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, ranchers, landowners, equipment dealers, and local ag businesses.
• Prospect for new business through in-person visits, referrals, networking, and phone outreach.
• Meet with customers on farms, at shops, and throughout your territory.
• Evaluate equipment and discuss auction timing, pricing strategy, and selling options.
• Secure consignment agreements for upcoming auctions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to prepare equipment for sale.
• Support customers through the auction process and ongoing service after the sale.
• Manage and grow revenue within your territory.
