Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Field/Base Network Engineer for the SMIT contract. The role focuses on BAN/LAN/WAN operations, COMSEC support, and network configuration across Navy IT environments. You will manage key resources, interact with customers, and lead incidents, changes, and maintenance activities.

Required: BA/BS with 4+ years of experience, DoD Secret clearance with potential TS upgrade, and DoD 8570 IAT II certification. Travel up to 25% (OCONUS possible).

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience; MS/MBA with 2+ years considered.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification required prior to onboarding.
• Must possess Network Vendor Associate Level or higher Certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
• Ability to travel 25% including possible OCONUS travel.

Responsibilities

• Operates as an Operations-focused Network Engineer on BAN/LAN/WAN network operations.
• Documents work activities and maintains site documentation per procedures.
• Coordinates network upgrades and maintenance with stakeholders.
• Supports cybersecurity requirements and STIG compliance.
