Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Field/Base Network Engineer to support the SMIT Contract for NMCI with responsibilities in BAN/LAN/WAN operations, COMSEC, and network modernization. You will lead a virtual technical team and work within a large DoD enterprise environment.

The role requires DoD clearance, 5+ years in routing/switching, 8570 Level II certifications, and readiness to travel up to 25%, including possible OCONUS assignments. On-site Hawaii location with potential for additional travel.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or MS/MBA with 2+ years of relevant experience
• DoD Secret Security Clearance w/ ability to upgrade to TS Security Clearance
• DoD 8570.01 Level II certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CDN, ISC2 SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CYSA+)
• Network vendor certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP)
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including possible OCONUS travel
• 5+ years of troubleshooting complex routing and switching issues

Responsibilities

• Lead BAN/LAN/WAN network operations and troubleshooting
• Provide COMSEC Local Element support and assets management
• Document work activities and maintain site documentation
• Coordinate software upgrades and changes to the NGEN-R system
• Perform maintenance and repair of network hardware per SOPs
• Interface with NOC for incident troubleshooting and restoral
