Job summary

Leidos is looking for a Field/Base Network Engineer to support the SMIT contract on Navy NMCI modernization. You will lead BAN/LAN/WAN operations, manage COMSEC assets, and work with the NGEN-R team to ensure secure, reliable network services.

Requirements include a BA/BS in IT/Engineering with 4+ years' experience, DoD Secret clearance (TS upgrade possible), IAT II cert, and CCNA/CCNP or equivalent. Travel up to 25% and availability for off-hours are expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or MS/MBA with 2+ years.
• DoD Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS clearance.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification required before onboarding.
• Network vendor certification (e.g., CCNA/CCNP) preferred.
• Willingness to travel 25% including possible OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an operations-focused network engineer on BAN/LAN/WAN networks.
• Manage COMSEC assets, load keys, install and troubleshoot equipment.
• Document activities and maintain accurate site documentation.
• Coordinate upgrades and maintenance with stakeholders.
• Support cybersecurity controls and domain architecture compliance.
• Interface with NOC for incident troubleshooting and restoral.
