Leidos is seeking an experienced Field/Base Network Engineer for the SMIT program to support BAN/LAN/WAN operations across Navy networks. You will lead a virtual team, coordinate COMSEC activities, and drive incident response and change management in a large DoD enterprise environment.

The role requires 5+ years in routing/switching, DoD 8570 IAT II certs, and DoD Secret/TS clearance. Travel up to 25% (OCONUS possible) is part of the job.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or higher required.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT II certification required prior to onboarding.
• DoD Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS.
• Ability to travel 25% (OCONUS possible).
• 5+ years troubleshooting routing and switching.

Responsabilités

• Lead BAN/LAN/WAN network operations, troubleshooting, installation and integration.
• Manage COMSEC assets and key inventories; load keys into encryption devices.
• Document site activities and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate software upgrades and changes to NGEN-R system.
• Perform hardware maintenance and replacements per SOPs.
• Interface with NOC for incident troubleshooting and restoral.
• Support configuration management and reflect as‑is/to‑be in docs.
• Coordinate network upgrades with stakeholders.
