Job summary

Tecan is seeking a Field Automation Engineer for the Bay Area, CA, with up to 60% travel. The role focuses on field-based technical support for Tecan Detection instruments, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and demonstrations.

You will collaborate with customers, Sales, and internal teams to ensure successful instrument implementation, reliable performance, and high customer satisfaction, while maintaining comprehensive service records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of laboratory instrumentation or automation experience.
• Hands-on instrument installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and field service.
• Strong communication and ability to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Install and implement Tecan Detection instruments at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Support development and deployment of instrument applications.
• Provide customer training on operation and maintenance.
• Create and maintain service records and provide technical demonstrations.
• Travel to customer sites and coordinate with Sales and internal teams.
