Bruker is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Chemspeed to install, calibrate, and service automation systems at customer sites, with a home-based model preferred for the Bay Area and flexibility for Oregon/Colorado.

You will diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, and basic software domains, train customers, and support FAT/SAT while traveling up to 75% domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Biotech, Biology or Chemistry.
• Minimum 3 years Field Service Engineer work experience involving scientific instrumentation maintenance or technical support, robotics and automation in a laboratory environment.
• Technical & Engineering Skills: electromechanical systems; robotics; PLC programming and diagnostics; electrical schematics, and technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Software & Controls: automation software; Python, C++; working knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, OPC-UA); familiarity with system integration (hardware + software + instruments).

Responsabilités

• Perform installations, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of automation and robotic systems and accessories at customer sites.
• Perform onsite preventive maintenance, calibration, qualification, upgrades, and repairs to ensure system reliability and uptime.
• Diagnose technical problems through indepth troubleshooting and rootcause analysis to resolve mechanical, electrical, and basic software issues.
• Assist service colleagues with complex troubleshooting and system upgrades.
• Support factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).
• Provide customer training, application support, and remote/onsite assistance with system operation and maintenance.
