Job summary

Bruker Chemspeed is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, and maintain complex automation instrumentation at customer sites. This home-based role supports customers across California with substantial travel requirements up to 75%+ domestically and internationally.

You will diagnose issues and provide on-site support to ensure peak system performance. The role requires 3+ years in field service of scientific instruments, strong electromechanical skills, robotics, PLCs, and

Qualifications

BS in a relevant science/engineering field with 3+ years' field service for scientific instrumentation.
Experience with robotics, electromechanical systems, PLCs, and electrical schematics.
Fluent English, strong customer focus, and ability to travel 75%+ domestically/internationally.

Responsibilities

Perform installations, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of automation and robotic systems at customer sites.
Conduct on-site preventive maintenance, calibration, upgrades, and repairs to ensure system reliability.
Diagnose technical problems with in-depth troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Assist colleagues with complex troubleshooting and system upgrades.
Support FAT/SAT and customer trainings.
Document service activities and maintain system configuration records.
Collaborate with R&D/Engineering to improve designs and report field issues.
Coordinate parts, tools, and installation planning.
