Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to serve as the frontline contact with customers and guide the repair process from start to finish. You will manage your own inventory, collaborate with body shops, and negotiate repair pricing while assessing liability.

This field role includes a company car and occasional office visits, with potential coverage outside your assigned area. Candidates must reside in the Santa Monica / Beverly Hills, CA area and demonstrate leadership and

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Associate's degree and minimum three years relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimimatics or insurance experience.
• Bachelor's degree and minimum one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive’s driving standards and/or policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear expectations and timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops.
• Document information related to the claim and make decisions consistent with claims standards and local laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments.
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests.
