Progressive is seeking a field auto damage claims adjuster to manage, from inspection to settlement, the repair process for assigned claims within a defined geographic area. You will inspect vehicles, write estimates, and negotiate with body shops while ensuring compliance with claims standards and local laws.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and decision-making skills. A company car is provided and occasional office reporting may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Reside in the San Mateo, Belmont, Foster City, Redwood City, Redwood Shores, Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, Atherton, Menlo Park, CA area.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; must comply with Progressive driving standards.

Responsabilités

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear expectations and timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops.
• Document information related to the claim and make decisions consistent with claims standards and local laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments.
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests.
