Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to act as the primary contact for customers, guiding the repair process from start to finish while coordinating with body shops and other partners. The role emphasizes leadership, conflict management, and meticulous attention to detail to deliver exceptional customer service.

Based in California, the position involves field work with a company car, occasional office reporting, and potential assignments outside the local area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience
• Alternative: Associate's degree + 3 years relevant experience with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience
• Alternative: Bachelor's degree + 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience

Responsabilités

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear expectations and timelines
• Negotiate repair process with body shops
• Document information related to the claim and make decisions consistent with claims standards and local laws
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests
