Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to write estimates and steer customers through repairs or total loss. You’ll meet customers at their home, shop, or tow yard, using a mix of in-person visits, virtual inspections, and written communication.

You’ll collaborate with body shops, service providers, and customers to deliver fast, fair, and accurate claims outcomes. Travel is required and licensing will be pursued where needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in auto collision estimating.
• Experience with CCC or Mitchell estimating software.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient written and verbal communication with customers.
• Strong attention to detail for precise estimates.
• Comfortable using technology for claims processing.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Write estimates and guide customers through repairs or total loss processes.
• Conduct on-site, virtual, and written inspections with customers and shops.
• Collaborate with body shops and service providers in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly to ensure a fair, timely claims process.
• Use multiple tools to complete estimates and settlements.
• Maintain accurate, timely records in the claims system.
