Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to lead auto claim estimates, meeting customers at home, shops, or tow yards. You will combine on-site inspections with virtual checks, and written communication to guide the repair or total loss process.

Requirements include 3-5 years’ experience in auto estimating (CCC/Mitchell), a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication skills. Travel and a valid license are expected for this field-based role in Bellevue, WA.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in auto claims or appraisals.
• Experience in auto collision estimating using CCC or Mitchell.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers.
• Detail-oriented with ability to write precise estimates.
• Comfortable with technology and claims processing platforms.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the field expert in claims, meeting customers on-site or virtually.
• Investigate damage and determine policy coverage.
• Communicate clearly via phone, email, and video chat with customers.
• Negotiate settlements with customers and providers.
• Utilize multiple tools to write accurate estimates and maintain records.
• Maintain detailed, compliant documentation in the claims system.
