Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser in Bellevue, WA to write estimates and guide customers through the repair or total loss process. You’ll work with customers on-site, at shops, or via virtual inspections, leveraging strong communication and estimating skills.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of CCC or Mitchell estimating experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to travel. Company car considerations and mileage reimbursements may apply as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of auto collision estimating experience using CCC or Mitchell.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers.
• Strong attention to detail for precise estimates.
• Comfortable with technology and claims processing platforms.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• The Customer Service Expert – lead with empathy and ensure clear communication with customers.
• The Investigator – review damage, interpret policies, determine coverage.
• The Effective Communicator – use phone, email, and video to guide customers through the claims process.
• The Negotiator – evaluate and negotiate settlements in line with standards.
• The Problem Solver – use tools like estimate software and settlement platforms to resolve cases quickly.
• The Recorder – keep accurate, timely records in the claims system.
