Job summary

Allstate Insurance Company seeks a Field Auto Appraiser to write estimates and guide customers through repair or total loss processes. The role blends hands-on field work with customer service, assessing damage on-site, at repair shops, or tow yards.

You will leverage CCC or Mitchell estimating tools, communicate clearly, and collaborate with body shops while complying with policy and regulatory requirements. Training including two weeks in Dallas may be provided.

Qualifications

• Auto body estimating experience preferred, with familiarity in CCC or Mitchell systems.
• Strong writing and numerical accuracy for estimates.
• Experience with claims processing tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

• The Customer Service Expert – embody Allstate’s Claims Culture, showing empathy and clear communication on each claim.
• The Investigator – perform detailed damage reviews and interpret policies to determine coverage.
• The Effective Communicator – use phone, email, and video chat to guide customers through the claims process.
• The Negotiator – evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, and third parties.
• The Problem Solver – utilize tools and resources to complete estimates and settlements efficiently.
• The Recorder – maintain accurate, timely records in the claims system with strong attention to detail.
