GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks an Assistant Cultural Resources Technician I to support multiple projects across the Southwestern region. The role involves identifying, excavating, and recording potential sites following applicable archaeological standards for Phase I–III investigations. Pre-employment drug testing is required.

The position requires outdoor work, the ability to hike 8–10 miles daily while carrying gear, and willingness to travel extensively on weekdays and some weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of field archaeology experience or equivalent.
• BA/BS degree in Anthropology or related field; field school enrollment acceptable.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsabilités

• Excavate, screen, and collect archaeological materials per federal/state standards.
• Identify and record archaeological features and structures within project areas.
• Photograph and map survey areas, testing locations, and excavations.
• Complete field forms accurately (paper/electronic).
• Work outdoors in varying weather and rugged terrain.
