Job summary

ECORP Consulting, Inc. seeks an Associate Archaeologist to join our Northern California team based in Rocklin. The role covers field and office cultural resources work, with responsibilities spanning surveys, documentation, maps, and reports.

The candidate should have a Master’s degree in Anthropology or archaeology, 2+ years of experience (5 years CRM in CA preferred), and strong collaboration skills for a smaller office setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience; 5 years CRM experience in California is highly desired.
• Ability to conduct fieldwork and construction monitoring, including travel and outdoor work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration in a small office.
• Knowledge of federal and state cultural resources regulations.
• Familiarity with the prehistory, history, archaeology, and ethnography of Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pedestrian surveys and site documentation.
• Prepare maps, records, and technical reports.
• Perform construction monitoring and archaeological excavations.
• Conduct archival and background research as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Support project and business development activities within the region.
