Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in anthropology, archaeology, history, or related field.
• 0–2 years of professional archaeology experience.
• Understanding of CEQA, NEPA, and local regulations.
• Strong time management to handle multiple tasks.
• Field school completion and survey experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and conditions.
• Detail-oriented with solid organization and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Supports Project Managers and field teams with coordination, scheduling, logistics.
• Assists with surveys, monitoring, excavations, and fieldwork per standards.
• Conducts background research, literature reviews, and records searches.
• Prepares technical reports, site records, maps, and environmental docs per regulations.
• Coordinates with project teams, regulators, tribes, clients, and stakeholders.
• Maintains field notes, records, GIS data, and documentation; assists data management.
• Supports lab work, artifact processing, cataloging, and analytical methods.
