Qualifications

ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a full-time Staff Archaeologist to join our Northern California cultural resources team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout the region while based in our Rocklin, California office. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to support both field and office-based cultural resources work.

Responsibilities include

• Prepare maps, records, and a technical report
• Perform construction monitoring and archaeological excavation
• Conduct archival and background research as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and the client
• Support project and business development activities within the region

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience; 8 years of experience in environmental and cultural resources management in California (CRM) is highly desirable
• Ability to conduct fieldwork and construction monitoring, including travel and work in challenging outdoor environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Working knowledge of federal and state cultural resources regulations
• Familiarity with the prehistory, history, archaeology, and ethnography of California

Physical Requirements:

This position requires hiking over uneven terrain, carrying field equipment, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.

Compensation:

This is a full-time hourly position with a range of $39.00 - $54.00 per hour. Actual compensation is based upon relevant experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
