Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience; 8 years in California CRM is highly desirable.
• Ability to conduct fieldwork and construction monitoring in outdoor environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of federal and state cultural resources regulations.
• Familiarity with California prehistory, history, archaeology and ethnography.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pedestrian surveys and site documentation
• Prepare maps, records, and a technical report
• Perform construction monitoring and archaeological excavation
• Conduct archival and background research as needed
