Job summary

USP Technologies is seeking an Applications Specialist to act as the primary on-site technical representative for assigned customer accounts. You will perform wastewater sampling and on-site analyses, oversee chemical logistics, and conduct routine maintenance on feed systems.

You will build trusted customer relationships, communicate program status clearly, and work with cross-functional teams to keep treatment programs on contract targets while supporting reporting and forecasting activities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering or related technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2–5 years of customer-facing water/wastewater treatment, industrial chemical service or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; wastewater operator certification, 40-hour HAZWOPER or DOT HazMat training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver USP value through wastewater sampling/analysis, chemical logistics, and minor maintenance of feed and monitoring equipment.
• Build trusted relationships with plant operators and management; translate field data into actionable recommendations.
• Gather, review and report data, coordinate with third-party labs for confirmatory analyses.
• Monitor inventory and forecast usage; schedule deliveries to minimize stock-outs and freight costs.
• Perform routine maintenance on chemical feed systems and troubleshoot common faults.
• Communicate results and program status to customers and internal teams; identify improvement opportunities.
