Job summary

NEW Water is seeking a Field Services Technician to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain wastewater infrastructure across our service area, including lift stations, meter stations, and interceptors, while collecting data and responding to emergencies.

You will document work orders in CMMS, support Pretreatment programs, coordinate with industrial and municipal customers, and follow safety protocols to protect public health and the environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical operation, mathematics, biology, and chemistry.
• Associate degree or equivalent required; apprenticeship substitution may apply.
• Experience and training in wastewater field is considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain lift stations, meter stations, interceptor systems, and related equipment.
• Monitor system performance, respond to alarms and high-flow events.
• Troubleshoot equipment and metering issues; collect wastewater data for compliance and billing.
• Maintain CMMS work orders and field reports; update procedures and coordinate maintenance.
• Support pretreatment program through industrial sampling and inspections; interact with customers.
