Job summary

USP Technologies seeks an Applications Specialist to serve as the primary on-site technical representative for assigned customer accounts, performing wastewater sampling and analysis, coordinating chemical logistics, and maintaining equipment.

You will travel to facilities, communicate findings to operators and account teams, ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA, and provide maintenance support as part of a cross-functional group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering or related technical field.
• 2–5 years of customer-facing water/wastewater treatment or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license; wastewater operator certification, 40-hour HAZWOPER or DOT HazMat training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect routine and event-driven grab and composite samples from influent, process and effluent points per customer, USP and regulatory protocols; maintain chain-of-custody and proper labeling.
• Perform on-site analyses using field instrumentation and wet-chemistry methods; calibrate and maintain instruments.
• Record, review and trend results; validate data quality and recommend feed-rate or program adjustments.
• Prepare and deliver clear, timely customer reports, system surveys and data summaries; coordinate with third-party labs for confirmatory or compliance analyses.
• Serve as day-to-day point of contact for plant operators and account teams; communicate results and recommendations to customer personnel and USP teams.
