Job summary

Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd. seeks a commercially focused Field Applications Scientist to join our Technical Services team. This field-based role covers the Southern Plains territory and requires 50–70% travel; candidates must reside within the territory, preferably in Kansas City, St.

Louis, or Oklahoma City. You will partner with Sales to provide technical guidance across the customer lifecycle, deliver pre-sales and post-sales support, and drive technology adoption with ONT workflows.

Qualifications

• PhD in Life Sciences preferred, or a Master’s with relevant experience.
• Strong molecular biology/genomics background and data analysis ability.
• Excellent scientific communication and storytelling for customers.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to support opportunities and provide technical expertise.
• Deliver pre-sales and post-sales technical support and training.
• Build technical relationships to drive technology adoption.
• Deliver presentations and workshops to diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business goals.
• Develop engagement plans for strategic accounts and capture feedback.
