Job summary

Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd. is seeking a Field Applications Scientist, Bioinformatics, to partner with our Sales team and customers.

You’ll provide pre- and post-sales technical expertise across our sequencing platforms and software, helping researchers design experiments, analyze data, and achieve successful outcomes. This field-based role supports customers across the Northeast region with travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• PhD in Life Sciences or equivalent with relevant experience in a customer-facing scientific role.
• Experience with experimental design and genomic data analysis (e.g., WGS, transcriptomics).
• Strong foundation in genetics/genomics and bioinformatics principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-sales technical consultations across the sales cycle.
• Provide on-site engagements, trainings, and seminars at key accounts and conferences.
• Guide customers on experimental design, software usage, and analysis workflows for ONT technologies.
