Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking an Electrical Applications Engineer to solve complex problems at the intersection of engineering and customer needs. You will work with customers from concept to installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support, blending electrical knowledge with cross-functional collaboration.

You will engage with sales teams, design custom solutions, and provide technical documentation and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of technical field, applications engineering, or similar hands-on experience.
• Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation, heavy industrial, or similar environments.
• Familiarity with sensor technologies, industrial monitoring systems, electronics, and network communications.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols including Modbus, 4–20mA, Relay logic.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in the company's products, technologies, and applications across industrial markets.
• Partner with sales to understand customer requirements and recommend the right technical solution.
• Translate customer needs into practical, manufacturable system solutions.
• Configure standard products and systems to meet application-specific requirements.
• Design customized solutions incorporating internal products and third-party technologies.
• Perform engineering calculations and technical analysis to support product selection.
• Serve as a primary technical contact for customers throughout the sales and implementation process.
• Communicate product capabilities and technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide technical training to customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
• Test equipment to verify performance against specifications.
• Support system design, testing, installation, and startup activities.
• Troubleshoot field equipment and systems and assist in field deployments.
• Coordinate outside engineering resources when needed.
