Job summary

LRSolutions, LLC is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer to serve as the technical expert across the customer journey from concept through installation and support. You will work closely with sales, product development, and customers to design practical, field-ready solutions.

The role combines engineering depth with the ability to communicate clearly to engineers, plant personnel, and business leaders, while designing systems for demanding industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 5+ years of technical field, applications engineering, or similar hands-on engineering experience.
• Experience within oil & gas, mining, power generation, heavy industrial, or similar environments.
• Familiarity with sensor technologies, industrial monitoring systems, electronics, and network communications.
• Working knowledge of Modbus, 4–20mA, Relay logic, and other common industrial protocols.
• Understanding of hazardous locations, classifications, and equipment ratings.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical information for customers and non-technical users.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in company products, technologies, and applications across industrial markets.
• Partner with sales to understand customer requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Translate customer needs into manufacturable system and product solutions.
• Configure standard products and systems to meet application-specific requirements.
• Design customized solutions incorporating internal products and third-party tech.
• Perform engineering calculations and technical analysis to support product selection.
• Serve as primary technical contact for customers during sales and implementation.
• Communicate product capabilities and technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create application drawings, specifications, and training materials.
• Support design, testing, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
