Your Talent Team is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer to join our client’s team. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales, and product development, serving as the technical expert throughout the customer journey from concept to startup.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical field engineering and strong electrical/electronics knowledge, with the ability to design practical solutions for demanding industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience in technical field or applications.
• Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation, or heavy industrial settings.
• Familiarity with sensor tech, industrial networks, and control protocols.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong troubleshooting, project management, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep product and application expertise across industrial markets.
• Collaborate with sales to capture customer requirements and propose solutions.
• Translate needs into manufacturable system and product designs.
• Configure standard products for specific applications.
• Design customized solutions using internal and third‑party tech.
• Perform engineering analyses to support recommendations.
• Act as primary technical contact during sales and deployment.
• Create drawings, docs, specs, and training materials.
• Support system design, testing, commissioning, and startup.
• Troubleshoot field equipment and provide remote/onsite support.
• Provide product training to customers and teams.
• Test equipment for performance against specs.
• Feedback on product performance and field issues to engineering.
• Assist in new product development and field readiness assessment.
• Coordinate external engineering resources as needed.
• Join sales on customer visits for technical presentations.
• Prepare responses to RFIs and RFQs.
• Identify new customer needs for future growth.
• Travel up to 10% and may involve Canada/Mexico; passport required.
