CareerNerds, LLC is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and works directly with customers across industrial markets. This role blends engineering, sales, product development, and customer support from concept through installation and startup.

You will translate requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions, design customized systems, and provide training and field support.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of technical field, applications engineering, or similar experience
• Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation, heavy industrial environments
• Familiarity with sensor technologies, industrial monitoring systems, electronics, and network communications

Responsabilidades

• Develop deep expertise in products, technologies, and applications across industrial markets.
• Partner with sales to understand customer requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Translate customer needs into practical, manufacturable system and product solutions.
• Configure standard products and systems to meet application-specific requirements.
• Design customized solutions incorporating internal products and third-party technologies.
• Perform engineering calculations and technical analysis to support product selection.
• Serve as a primary technical contact for customers throughout sales and implementation.
• Communicate product capabilities and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create application drawings, technical documentation, specifications, and training materials.
• Support system design, testing, verification, installation, programming, commissioning, and startup.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems in field and via remote support.
• Provide engineering feedback on product performance and customer needs.
• Participate in design/development of new products and enhancements.
• Coordinate outside engineering resources as needed.
• Join customer visits with sales for technical presentations and calls.
• Support responses to RFIs and RFQs.
• Identify opportunities for future products and growth.
