Job summary

Arrow Electronics is seeking a Field Applications Engineer in Bloomington, MN. You will help customers select and design electronic components from our line card, acting as a trusted advisor with technical guidance to ensure success for customers and suppliers.

You will drive demand creation, understand customer needs, and leverage Arrow's engineering resources to develop solutions. The role requires strong communication and the ability to work with the sales team across pre- and post-sales

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of electronic design experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering; or 2+ years with an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience.
• Analog and embedded design experience.
• Experience in C-programming and/or Embedded Linux is a plus.
• Experience designing with FPGAs (HDL, Simulation, Verification, etc).

Responsibilities

• Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs.
• Develop an advanced understanding of customer needs and leverage Arrow resources to identify solutions.
• Partner with the sales team across pre- and post-sales activities.
• Provide technical support and consulting to promote demand creation.
• Prepare and give sales presentations to customers.
• Manage top opportunities and opportunity funnel for assigned suppliers.
• Train the local sales team on new products and help market them to appropriate customers.
• Build and develop relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Attend strategic branch meetings and quarterly business reviews and drive technical plans.
