Job summary

Arrow Electronics, located in Maryland, is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to support design-in activity, lead technical discussions with customers, and drive component selection. The role requires hands-on engineering experience, proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and BI tools, and the ability to work with sales teams to grow revenue.

The Hybrid work arrangement in Maryland supports field activity and customer engagements while leveraging Arrow’s design services resources.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree (engineering preferred) and at least 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with experience.
• Requires at least 2 years of experience in system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components.
• Broad knowledge of electronic components.
• Experience with design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of your time in front of customers to influence component selection.
• Champion return on engineering investment by applying technical leadership.
• Build and develop relationships with suppliers and customers, and keep stakeholders updated.
• Grow your account base each quarter.
• Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs and leveraging engineering resources.
• Identify solutions to customer design needs and issues and provide technical support.
• Monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions to meet targets.
• Present technical seminars and workshops around supplier lines.
• Collaborate with field sales and other Arrow departments to promote demand creation and promotions.
• Attend and participate in branch meetings and QBRs; drive strategic technical plans.
