Job summary

Arrow Electronics is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to assist customers in selecting and designing IP&E components from our extensive line card. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers and suppliers with engineering and design services resources.

The role emphasizes hybrid work arrangements, collaboration with sales teams, and delivering technical presentations to drive demand creation.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of electronic design experience with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
• Experience with interconnect product vendors (Molex, TE, Amphenol, Samtec) preferred.
• Familiarity with specifying connectors, antennas, power supplies, circuit protection, batteries and passive components.
• In-depth knowledge of system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; sales experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs.
• Leverage customer needs to identify and facilitate solutions from Arrow’s resources.
• Provide technical support and consulting to promote demand creation.
• Prepare and present technical presentations to customers.
• Manage opportunities and supplier relationships across pre- and post-sales activities.
• Train sales teams on new products and market them to customers.
