Job summary

Phoenix Contact is seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide hands‑on technical support for marking and installation portfolio across the industrial automation sector. You will collaborate with regional sales teams to expand market penetration through consultative demos, trainings, and tailored solutions.

The territory covers Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas and Iowa and requires travel; you will work from a home office with limited supervision, maintain CRM data, deliver demonstrations, and

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree.
• Technical discipline preferred and/or equivalent industry experience.
• 2 years minimum sales or marketing experience with automation and industrial control products.
• Ability to work independently from home office and communicate effectively with colleagues with limited supervision.
• Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Increase annual sales revenue across cabinet efficiency products at customer accounts.
• Collaborate with local Phoenix Contact sales team on trainings and mutual action plans.
• Act as the local technical representative for power-related matters.
• Develop sales tools, collateral and drive campaigns.
• Serve as the voice of the customer for product expansion.
• Meet or exceed territory sales quotas as established by the RSM and VP Sales.
• Maintain CRM data and utilize it for reporting and tracking.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations of Phoenix Contact Cabinet Efficiency products.
• Proactively utilize sales tools to maximize productivity.
