Job summary

StaffSource is seeking an AMI Network Technician to support and maintain Ohio's statewide AMI program. This field-based role focuses on AMI maintenance, RF troubleshooting, equipment replacement, and software-driven diagnostics in real-world utility deployments.

You will work with meters, collectors, RF endpoints, and related hardware, using proprietary software to diagnose network issues, document repairs, and collaborate with utility customers and internal teams. Travel across Ohio is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in AMI deployments or smart meter installations is a plus.
• Familiarity with RF communication systems and field hardware.
• Ability to document field activities electronically.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and replace AMI network equipment.
• Troubleshoot RF and AMI network issues using diagnostic tools.
• Document troubleshooting steps and completed work.
• Collaborate with utility customers and internal teams to maintain Ohio's AMI network.
• Travel throughout Ohio to support field operations.
