Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking an AI Field Engineer who embeds with customers to turn complex AI problems into production systems. You will work at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer delivery, building POCs, MVPs, and production integrations while engaging in executive-level conversations about architecture and business outcomes.

You will spend most of your time shipping code, running benchmarks, and debugging production issues, but you will also lead discovery, align stakeholders,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a hands‑on, customer‑facing technical role.
• Shipped production software with customers, not just advice.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and GPU deployments.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end POCs and MVPs with customer engineering teams inside their codebases, infrastructure, and constraints.
• Architect the inference foundations for GenAI deployments and size deployments for market scalability.
• Run load tests and establish latency, throughput and cost baselines against realistic traffic profiles.
• Deploy and validate new model families on inference frameworks (vLLM, SGLang), determining optimal shapes and serving patterns.
