Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking an on-site Enterprise Field Engineer to embed with customers and scale GenAI deployments. You will build POCs, design inference architectures, and guide customers through fine-tuning workflows while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

You will juggle hands-on coding, benchmarking, and executive‑level discussions, driving production-grade solutions in complex customer environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a hands-on, customer-facing technical role.
• Strong Python skills with production code experience.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven track record shipping code in production environments.
• Exceptional communication to run discovery calls and present to VPs.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end POCs and MVPs inside customer codebases and infrastructures.
• Architect inference foundations and scalable deployments for GenAI workloads.
• Run load tests, establish latency/cost baselines, and optimize deployments.
• Deploy and validate model families on inference frameworks (vLLM, SGLang).
• Guide customers on model selection and fine-tuning strategies (SFT, DPO, RFT).
• Build and run fine-tuning pipelines with customers and evaluate production-ready solutions.
• Identify customer pain points and translate into concrete product improvements.
• Codify deployment patterns and contribute to tooling and docs.
