Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking a hands-on Field Engineer to embed with enterprise customers and partner teams to turn AI challenges into production systems.

You will build POCs, run benchmarks, and architect deployments while engaging executives on architecture and business outcomes. This role emphasizes on-site collaboration, strong Python and cloud skills, and delivering production-grade GenAI solutions across data and workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hands-on, customer-facing technical roles.
• Strong Python development skills and production code experience.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with LLM stacks, model serving, and fine-tuning workflows.
• Excellent communication and executive-facing presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end POCs and MVPs inside customer codebases and infra.
• Architect inference foundations and scalable deployments for GenAI workloads.
• Run load tests, set latency/cost baselines, and optimize deployments.
• Deploy and evaluate model families on frameworks like vLLM and SGLang.
• Lead discovery calls, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive adoption.
