Fireworks is hiring AI Field Engineers to embed with customers and turn complex AI problems into production systems. You will ship code, run benchmarks, and architect deployments while engaging in executive‑level conversations about architecture, strategy, and business outcomes.

You will spend significant time on-site building POCs and MVPs, translating customer pain points into product improvements that accelerate the roadmap and deliver tangible value for large organizations adopting GenAI.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in a hands-on, customer-facing technical role (e.g., Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect).
• Shipped production software in a customer production environment.
• Strong Python skills; able to read/write/debug production code; Kubernetes familiarity.
• Working knowledge of the LLM stacks: inference trade-offs, model serving, fine-tuning workflows.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying models on GPU infrastructure.
• Exceptional communication: run discovery calls, present to a VP, and debug latency issues with an ML engineer.

Aufgaben

• Build end-to-end POCs and MVPs inside customer codebases and environments.
• Architect inference foundations and scalable deployments for GenAI products.
• Run load tests, establish latency and cost baselines, tune deployments.
• Deploy and validate model families on inference frameworks, optimize shapes and serving patterns.
• Lead customer discovery conversations and translate pain points into product improvements.
• Spend time on-site with customers to build trust and momentum.
