Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking experienced Field Engineers to embed with customers and translate complex AI problems into production systems. You will ship code, run benchmarks, and architect deployments while leading architecture conversations with executives.

You will spend significant time onsite with customers, building trust and delivering end-to-end GenAI solutions that scale across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on, customer-facing technical role.
• Proven ability to ship production software with customers.
• Strong Python skills and Kubernetes familiarity.
• Knowledge of the LLM stack and fine-tuning workflows.
• Experience with cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP) and GPUs.
• Exceptional communication; able to engage with VP-level stakeholders.
• Experience with agentic systems and AI-native toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end POCs/MVPs inside customer codebases and infra.
• Architect inference foundations and scale deployments for GenAI.
• Run load tests; set latency, throughput, and cost baselines.
• Deploy and validate model families on inference frameworks.
• Guide model selection and fine-tuning strategies with customers.
• Develop pipelines for fine-tuning with customers.
• Design evaluation frameworks for production-quality metrics.
• Lead structured discovery conversations with customers.
• Own technical relationships from first engagement to production deployment.
• Spend time on-site with customers to build trust.
• Codify deployment patterns and contribute to tooling and docs.
• Feed customer signals back into the product roadmap.
