Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Account Representative (Downstream Chemicals) to own key customer accounts on-site at refinery and industrial plants. You will implement, monitor, and optimize chemical treatment programs, acting as a trusted advisor to understand customer needs and deliver safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, will accept a high school diploma
• 3+ years' refinery or industrial experience
• Experience with refinery process operation and utilities units
• Understanding of industrial chemical treatment programs and sales process
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Laboratory experience
• Understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily operation of refinery process treatment programs to deliver value for customers
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional partners
• Provide account management to understand customer needs and potential win‑win sales opportunities
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data to support troubleshooting efforts, service reporting, KPI reviews, customer meetings, and presentations
• Deliver field support, laboratory analysis, and technical expertise to assist customers with operational challenges
