Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Account Representative for our Downstream Chemicals team to support refinery customers in Texas. You will own key accounts, implement and monitor chemical treatment programs, and act as a trusted advisor to optimize safety and efficiency at customer sites.

You will build relationships with cross-functional teams, collect data for reports, provide field support and laboratory analyses, and manage inventories and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but a high school diploma is acceptable
• 3+ years' refinery or industrial experience
• Experience with refinery process operations and utilities
• Understanding of industrial chemical treatment and sales processes
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Laboratory experience and data interpretation skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of refinery process treatment programs to ensure delivery and performance for our customers
• Develop trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration
• Provide account management to understand customer needs, requirements and potential win-win sales opportunities
• Collect and interpret data for troubleshooting, service reports, KPI reviews and presentations delivered to customers
• Provide field support, laboratory analysis and technical guidance for issues, projects, turn-around, shut-downs and daily operations
• Manage chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer location
• Assist with loading and unloading for chemical tank trailers

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred
