Job summary

Baker Hughes in the United States is seeking an Account Representative for Downstream Chemicals to manage a key refinery customer and deliver value through chemical treatment programs.

You will monitor operations, troubleshoot, provide field support, and coordinate deliveries while building trusted relationships with cross-functional teams. A background in refinery processes and customer-focused sales is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; will accept High School Diploma with relevant refinery/industrial experience
• 3+ years of refinery or industrial experience
• Experience in refinery process operation and utilities
• Understanding of industrial chemical treatment programs and sales
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Laboratory experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operation and performance of refinery process treatment programs to ensure exceptional service and value for customers.
• Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional partners to drive collaboration and success.
• Providing account management to understand customer needs, requirements and potential win-win sales opportunities.
• Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to support troubleshooting efforts, service reporting, KPI reviews, customer meetings, and presentations.
• Delivering field support, laboratory analysis, and technical expertise to assist customers with operational challenges, projects, turnarounds, shutdowns, and routine activities.
• Monitoring and managing chemical inventory levels and coordinating product deliveries at customer location.
• Supporting the safe loading and unloading of chemical tank trailers and totes as needed.
