Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Account Representative (Downstream Chemicals) to own key customer accounts, implement and monitor chemical treatment programs, and provide technical guidance on-site. You will build trusted customer relationships, analyze data, and coordinate field support and deliveries to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires refinery/industrial experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, may accept High School Diploma
• 3+ years of refinery or industrial experience
• Experience with refinery processes, water treatment, or related chemical services
• Solid understanding of refinery operation and utilities units
• Understanding of industrial chemical treatment programs and sales process
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Laboratory experience
• Strong understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of refinery process treatment programs to ensure delivery and performance for customers
• Develop trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration
• Provide account management to understand customer needs and potential sales opportunities
• Collect and interpret data for troubleshooting, service reports, KPI reviews and presentations for customers
• Provide field support, laboratory analysis, and technical guidance on issues, projects, turnarounds and daily operations
• Manage chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer location
• Assist with loading and unloading for chemical tank trailers
