Zymo Research is seeking a field-based Account Manager to drive growth across PA, NJ, MD & DC, engaging with academic, government, biotech, and pharmaceutical researchers. You will hunt new opportunities and nurture long‑term relationships, speaking scientist‑to‑scientist and translating lab needs into practical solutions.

Ideal candidates have lab experience, can communicate at peer level, and are willing to travel extensively within the territory to engage customers and deliver value using

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field is required.
• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology, genomics, or related areas is required.

Responsibilities

• Territory Management & Growth: Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve revenue targets; nurture relationships with researchers through in-person and virtual visits.
• Scientific Consultation: Serve as a trusted advisor by leveraging lab experience to translate scientific needs into Zymo products.
• Opportunity Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in biotech, pharma, and academia.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product Management, and Technical Support to deliver value-added solutions and training.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field

Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred
