Construction Material Testing seeks a skilled 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners on diverse on-site projects, from rebar mats to corroded pipes. You will validate data on site, process scans with Artec Studio, and deliver clean meshes, reports, and CAD-ready files to clients.

Applicants should show hands-on scanner experience, CAD reading ability, and a willingness to travel to regional hubs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating handheld scanners (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider; Creaform HandySCAN; FARO).
• Experience processing data with Artec Studio or comparable software; mesh cleanup and registration.
• Ability to read structural or fabrication drawings using CAD references.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of concrete elements and embedded items.
• Control drift on large objects using reference features and overlap areas.
• Verify capture completeness on-site prior to departure.
• Process scans in Artec Studio; perform registration and export to STL/OBJ/E57 and CAD formats.
• Produce deviation maps, reports, and anchor bolt coordinates against drawings.
