Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a hands-on 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners on active construction sites, capture data, and deliver scan-to-CAD outputs such as STL, OBJ, and STEP files. You will travel to regional hubs, work in industrial plants, and support the team in producing accurate measurements and reports.

Responsibilities include planning scans, verifying data on site, processing in Artec Studio, and delivering client-ready files.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld structured-light or laser scanner on real projects; provide samples.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of structures and components before pours.
• Control drift on large objects using reference features.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture, export to STL/OBJ/E57/CAD.
